A master’s thesis was submitted to the College of Engineering – Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Kerbala, tagged (Numerical investigation of the local sour for Tripod pile foundation) by the student Zahraa Muhammad Fadl. The first chapter dealt with the scientific background of the topic, the importance of the research and its objectives, while the second chapter reviewed previous studies of research that related to the topic. The third chapter explains the methodology of the numerical simulation performed in the study, which includes the entire process starting from basic modeling and subsequent processing and explains the statistical analysis. The fourth chapter presents the results of the numerical simulation and statistical analysis and their discussion. The fifth chapter is concerned with the conclusions and recommendations for possible future studies.

The thesis aims to conduct a numerical investigation to calculate the highest value of the in situ drift of a Tripod pile supported by the simulation method and using the Flow3d program, which addresses a wide range of design problems in hydraulic engineering and applies modelling principles that distinguish it from other applications.

The thesis was approved by the discussion committee, which consisted of the Chairman of the Committee Professor Dr. Bassem Shabaa Abd Jassim, Assistant Professor Dr. Riyad Jassim Muhammad (member), Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Abd al-Razzaq Abd al-Rida (member), and Professor Dr. Waqid Hamid Hassan (member and supervisor).
